Michael comes from a strong agricultural background born and bred in the hard hill country of the Central North Island. Obtaining qualifications from Telford Rural Polytechnic then a Diploma in Agriculture from Massey University, Michael continued to progress into farm management with particular interests in business diversification and modern farming techniques, farm production increased 20 fold in the time Michael managed his family’s properties. Michael has furthered his education with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Lincoln University majoring in Business Management and Marketing. This has lead to positions in lecturing with various Christchurch Polytechnics, community development with Internal Affairs and project management with Lincoln University. Throughout this time Michael has been involved with business development, business management, negotiations with major Trusts and Incorporates and change management with various businesses and community organisations throughout New Zealand. Michael is highly motivated and passionate about business, with the ideal blend of practical experience and theoretical skills, which will become invaluable preparation for his current role as a Business Broker.
